Skills Mismatch(SM), Job Satisfaction(JS) and Turnover Intention(TI): A Case Study of the External Bank of Algeria-Algiers Agency
Main Article Content
Abstract
Abstract: This study explores how job satisfaction mediates the relationship between skills mismatch and turnover intention, focusing on the Algiers Agency of the External Bank of Algeria (BEA). Using a quantitative approach, data were collected via a questionnaire distributed to 80 BEA employees, yielding 50 responses, 47 of which were valid for analysis. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS-26, including correlation, regression, and mediation tests. The results suggest that job satisfaction plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between skills mismatch and employees’ intentions to leave. These findings offer valuable insights for decision-makers aiming to better align employees’ skills with their job roles, an alignment that could not only boost job satisfaction but also reduce turnover.
