Abstract

The study examines the energy transition towards a green economy in Algeria, exploring its challenges and opportunities. The analysis is based on in-depth research methods, investigating technical and financial obstacles such as lack of infrastructure and funding. However, Algeria boasts significant solar and wind energy potential, conducive to sustainable growth and job creation. The energy transition mitigates greenhouse gas emissions, preserving the environment and ensuring energy security. The study underscores the need for substantial investments in infrastructure, emphasizing the importance of public-private partnerships and innovative financing mechanisms to overcome budgetary constraints. Strengthening technological capacities and promoting policies conducive to the green economy are crucial for a successful transition in Algeria.
